This Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse. Lunar Eclipses occur on a Full Moon and are known for sweeping through our lives in order to push us to let go, release, and stop carrying around that old baggage. Eclipses bring change, illuminate things we didn’t know about, and show us where we have work to do in order to grow and evolve. Eclipses always come in pairs, so we’ll have another eclipse in early October.
Pisces oversees areas such as our dreams and imagination, and both will be in the spotlight this Full Moon. This Full Moon is conjunct Neptune, square Jupiter, and opposite Mercury, which means we may encounter news or unexpected information, perhaps in a situation where the wool is lifted from our eyes.
We also have Mercury opposite Saturn in this Full Moon chart, which can bring a sense of seriousness to our thoughts and communications. It can also mean that this eclipse can bring up feelings of loneliness, of black and white thinking and depressive thoughts.
This Full Moon we may find it challenging to articulate our thoughts, to find the right words to express what is going on in our inner landscape. Despite this, we want to be able to hold our boundaries, as Saturn in this chart can indicate that someone with authority wants us to go one way, but we want to go another, but we’re struggling with how to express it.
With a Full Moon in Pisces, we have the Moon in Pisces and the Sun in Virgo, helping us find the balance between the mundane (Virgo) and magical (Pisces). Pisces is an emotional sign, as it is a water sign, but it is the mutable water sign, which mean it isn’t too fixed. Of all the water signs, Pisces is the most flexible and willing to go with the flow. This means that if we are feeling overwhelmed with our feelings during this Full Moon, we can mindfully sit with them and allow them to flow through us, instead of trying to push them away or resist them. Doing so will allow us to learn, grow, and receive all the insight this Full Moon has to offer us.
